It’s New News | June 2016

Welcome to It’s New News where I go through some of my most anticipated releases in for the next month. I have four books that I’m really excited about, but I also want to say that you should go and check out the teaser trailers for the new Beauty and the Beast film that is coming out March 2017. Happy reading, Keira x.

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

This is the first book in a what seems to be a dark urban fantasy duology called Monsters of Verity. I have not yet read anything by Victoria/ V. E. Schwab, but I own A Darker Shade of Magic, so if I read that and like it, I will definitely be picking this one up. By the way, this cover is the UK edition.

The Loose Ends List by Carrie Firestone

This is a contemporary YA novel about a cruise, a dying grandmother and a girl called Maddie and it seems like it will be really interesting, but it has a beautiful cover, as do most of the books on this list, so I will have to wait until August to buy it.

The Museum of Heartbreak by Meg Leder

This is another contemporary YA novel with a gorgeous cover and is about a girl called Penelope who makes her own mini-museum that she uses to help get over heartbreak in all its forms (not just the romantic ones).

Ivory and Bone by Julie Eshbaugh

This is a fantasy YA novel described as a ‘prehistoric fantasy with allusions to Pride and Prejudice’ and apart from that I don’t really know anything, but it sounds really interesting!

  1. Isn’t the trailer for B&B amazing!?! I can’t wait for it!

I pre-ordered Ivory & Bone and I am really excited for it! I haven’t yet ready anything by Schwab…but it’s high on my list to try.

Let me know how the YA Contemporarys go…I trust your opinion 🙂

It really is amazing! I’ll let you know when I read them (probably August/end of July) when I can buy books again.
