Associated with warding off negative forces and dark energies- Name a book with the darkest/evilest character you can think of.
Voldemort’s soul isn’t even intact. Enough said. If you don’t know what book Voldemort is from… just…. I don’t really know.
Purple is associated with royalty- Name a book with regal qualities
How about the Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen, anyone? Lots of Queens, some Kings, all of that regal, courtly business.
Washed out- Name a ‘wishy washy’ character, a character who is not strong
/ a follower.
Followers aren’t weak or wishy-washy. Without followers, the leaders would have no one to lead. So a weak character… America Singer from The Selection by Kiera Cass. I hate her. She is so incredibly annoying and can’t make a decision to save her life. Also yes, the colours on the book match the stone. That had nothing to do with this choice.
A diamond in the rough- Name a book you loved, but that is not well known.
There are too many to count! Let’s go with 5 to 1 by Holly Bodger. I found it recently, but I absolutely love this book.
Said to balance energy- Name two characters who balance each other well.
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell- Simon and Baz are pretty much opposites, but they balance each other nicely.
Associated with loyalty- Name a character who is loyal to the end.
The Winner’s Kiss by Marie Rutkoski- I’m going to go with Kestrel: she is incredibly loyal and selfless.
Blood read- Name a book that made your blood boil, one that made you angry.
Princess of the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George- Angier and Father Michel really, really piss me off. Pardon my French, but they are utterly despicable human beings.
Pale in comparison- Name a supporting character who you like better than the main character
City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare- I prefer Magnus to Clary and Jace. I think that is a somewhat popular opinion.
Blue like the ocean, calming- Name a book that had a calming affect on you.
Harry Potter, because it is a nice memory.
Iridescent- Name an iridescent book (beautiful cover, character etc.)
I’m going to go with Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton, because it is beautiful and the gold bits are shiny.
Associated with resilience- Name a book with a character who rises to the top in a time of adversity.
The Winner’s Kiss by Marie Rutkoski- Arin. He pretty much takes the lead when the going gets tough.
Associated with friendship- Name a book with a friendship you want to be a part of. (Tanzanite is the other birthstone for December 🙂 )
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas- Lysandra and Aelin’s friendship. It’s newborn, but they bring each other chocolates. I need a friend that will bring me chocolate.
And that was it! I hope you enjoyed!
