Fireworks Book Tag

Hello everyone, so today, or well, tomorrow, since I am pre-writing this (yay! off to a good blogging start!)… anyway. Hi! A few weeks ago I saw this tag done by Cristina over at @My Tiny Obsessions and thought it looked cool so I’m going to do it!

Screamers- A Book That Made You Want To Scream

For this one I’m going to have to go with Room by Emma Donoghue. I stopped the book 50 pages in for reasons you can see here (I did a sort-of review on it). One of the things that made me want to scream was how Ma used religion to explain everything to the little five year old boy. I have no problem with religion or children being taught their parents’ religion, what I have a problem with is parents only teaching their children the religion and using it to sugar-coat the world too much.  So yeah, didn’t particularly like that book.

Bombers- A Banned Book You’ve Read

I’m going to have to steal Cristina’s answer for this. I don’t really pay attention to whether or not the books I read or not are banned but I did do some reading to the banning of Harry Potter. So let’s go with that.

Peony- A Book/Author You Think Everyone Needs to Read

The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge restored my interest in the classics after a few bad required English readings ruined them for me. I hated it the first time I read it but now I love it so for that reason, I want everyone to read it. You can watch the film too (The Secret of Moonacre) but the book is definitely better, although I did enjoy the film.

Crossette- A Book/Series With A Complicated Plot

Okay, so for this one I am again stealing Cristina’s idea but that is purely because I am currently reading the second book in this series so it is fresh in my mind and I can’t think of anything else right now. Okay? Okay. (Get it? No? Okay…) Oh, right, I still have to tell you which book I am picking- or well series but, well, never mind, now I’m just rambling. I pick A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.

Diadem- A Book/Series with an amazing set of central characters

Now, I would do Throne of Glass or Harry Potter for this one but I already mentioned Harry Potter and Cristina did Throne of Glass and I don’t want to take too many of her ideas so I’m going to do a different book, one which I finished recently that has an interesting cast of characters with a wide spread of personalities. That book is….. The Girl in the Steel Corset by Kady Cross!!!

Matches- Who do you tag?

I think this has been around for a while but I know for a fact that Bianca from @The Ultimate Fangirl hasn’t done this tag yet, so I’m tagging her and any of you who want to do this.
